HAVERHILL, MA - Ruth E. (Moody) Martin, 85, a resident of Haverhill, died Friday evening, February 17 at her home. She was the wife of the late Francis R. Martin with whom she was married for over 50 years.
She was born in Dracut on August 1, 1920 the youngest child of Harry and Louise (Cunningham) Moody.
She had been living in Haverhill with her two cats and beloved dog Topsy for the past several years. She had lived alone for the past few years and most recently on Hospice since last summer. She enjoyed the company of her daily care givers, her friend and neighbor Clare Vincent, her T.V. and gossip papers.
She is survived by three sons, Frank H. Martin of San Antonio, TX, Peter Martin and his wife Priscilla of Dracut and Robert Fitzpatrick and his wife Kathleen of Hollis, NH; two daughters, Judith Norton and her companion William Paquette of Tewksbury and Linda Andrews and her husband Wayne of Chester, NH; a sister, Mildred Grimes of Vero Beach, FL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
