Ruth H. Gleason

Lowell - Ruth H. (Grantz) Gleason, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, widow of Gerald F. Gleason, Sr., died Saturday September 11, 2010, following a period of declining health. She was 99.
Born in Lowell on June 4, 1911, she was a daughter of the late Herman P. and Margaret (Lavalle) Grantz.
Ruth was a communicant of St. Michael Church. She held membership in the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and AARP.
Prior to her retirement Ruth was employed as a secretary at the former Lowell Technological Research Foundation.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald F. Gleason, Jr. of Stow, Robert M. Gleason of Pelham, NH; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Daniel A. Gleason, and sister of the late Otto, Herman, James, George, John, Paul, and Charles Grantz, Margaret "Rita" Tomaselli, and Marion Harrington.
