Ruth M. Dupuis, 61, a longtime Lowell resident, died Friday, December 2, 2011, following a period of declining health.
Born in Lowell on September 18, 1950, she was a daughter of Bertha M. (Pare) Dupuis of Lowell and the late Paul A. Dupuis.
For many years, Ruthie worked for Goodwill Industries of Lowell, Class of Lawrence and for Home Away From Home in Lowell. She belonged to R.A.R.A and attended Life Links of Chelmsford.
Ruthie loved bowling, dancing and especially Karaoke. She participated in the Special Olympics where she earned many medals. She was a beautiful person who was always the center of her family's world. Her presence was unmistakable and her laughter could fill the room. She was adored by her many friends and family, especially by her aunts and uncles. No matter where she went, she led with her smile. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her siblings and their spouses, Janet Dupuis and Jim Dunn of Lowell, Roger and Deborah Dupuis of Milford, MA, Rick Dupuis and Deborah Hogan of Hudson, NH; many nieces ,nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many dear friends.
DUPUIS- Relatives and friends may call at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell from 3 until 7 PM on Monday. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 9 AM in Ste. Marguerite d'Youville Parish, 1340 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
