LOWELL - Mrs. Ruth C. (Reilly) Bilby, 74, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Friday, February 18, 2005 at Saints Memorial Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Ross F. Bilby.
Born in Lowell on February 15, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Edmund J. and Marion A. (Slater) Reilly.
Mrs. Bilby served with the United States Navy Waves during the Korean War. She retired from the Lowell School Department as a building custodian at the Robinson School.
She was a long time member of the former St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Lowell.
Mrs. Bilby is survived a son, Jeffrey F. Bilby of Kingston, NH; five daughters, Cynthia Smith of Lowell, Jennifer Jones of Lowell, Janice Bilby of Lowell, Joyce Bernier and her husband Harold of Lowell and Allison Byron and her husband Thomas of Dracut; two brothers, Robert Reilly of Lowell and David Reilly and his wife Linda of Lowell; four sisters, Alice Young and her husband Donald of Palm Beach, FL, Marion Dadoly of Palm Beach, FL, Carol Lavallee and her husband Robert of San Diego, CA and Patricia Diaz and her husband Dennis of Pelham, NH; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Stephen Ross Bilby.
