BRISTOL, RI - Rose E. Palermo, 100, a resident of Bristol, RI passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Manor in Bristol. She was the wife of the late Nicholas L. Palermo, Sr.
She was born in Methuen on September 9, 1915, and was a daughter of the late Fred and Evelyn (Washington) Champy. She received her education in Methuen schools and was a graduate of Methuen High School.
Rose spent her life tending to the needs of her home and family.
She loved to cook and sew.
Rose is survived by two sons, Ronald Palermo of Cambridge and Nicholas L. Palermo and his wife Ellen of Providence, RI; two daughters, Dianne Tobin and her husband Henry of Prescott, AZ and Geraldine Marcantonio and her husband James of Belmont; five grandchildren, Colonel Robert T. Tobin, III, USMC (Ret) and his wife Michelle of Burke, VA, Brian Tobin and his wife Denise of Phoenix, AZ, Emily (Marcantonio) Olds and her husband Tim of New York, Michael Palermo and his wife Melanie of Georgia, and Nicole Palermo, California; seven great grandchildren, Garrett, Ryan, and Sarah Tobin, and Brandon and his wife Desiree, Justin and Preston Tobin and Vienna Palermo. She was also the sister of the late Frank Champy, Raymond Champy, and Toni Demers.
