Rose M. (Buckley) Grenier, age 93, a longtime resident of Dracut died Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert R. Grenier, who died in 1990.
She was born in Lowell on October 18, 1930, and was a daughter of the late John W. and Rose (Cunion) Buckley. She received her education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School, class of 1948.
Prior to her retirement, Rose was employed for many years as a cafeteria worker for the Greater Lowell Technical High School in Tyngsboro. Earlier in life she volunteered for several years in the cafeteria at St. Michael School in Lowell.
She was a longtime parishioner of St. Michael Church in Lowell.
Rose enjoyed playing bingo and watching sports, but above all she cherished her time with her loving family especially her adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Robert Grenier, Jr. of Dracut, Jack Grenier of Dracut and Donna Drolet and her husband Glenn of Raymond, NH; four grandsons, Robert Grenier, III and his wife Anna, Stephen Grenier and Thomas Grenier, all of Lowell and William Grenier and his wife Elizabeth of Hudson, NH; six great grandchildren, Abigail, Sydney, Claire, Robert, IV, Bailey and Willard Grenier; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late William Buckley, George Buckley, Francis Buckley, Edward Buckley, Helen Toy and Barbara Agrella.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rose’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Tuesday, July 30th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 31st at 10:00am at St. Michael Church in Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell.
