LOWELL - Mrs. Rosalie M. (Golden) Nugent, 71, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died unexpectedly Friday, December 3, 2004 at her home. She was the wife of the late George J. Nugent Sr.
Born in Lowell on August 31, 1933 she was a daughter of the late Francis X. and Margaret M. (Bowery) Golden Sr.
Mrs. Nugent was a graduate of St. Michael Parochial School and Lowell High School.
Prior to her retirement she was employed by the C.F. Hathaway Company of Lowell.A lifelong communicant of St. Michael Church, she had been a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, George J. and Cynthia Nugent Jr. of Lowell, Kevin M. and Joni Nugent of Dracut and Francis X. and Bernadette Nugent of Merrimack, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and John Dougherty of Lowell; two sisters, Mary R. Beck and her husband Charles of Dracut and Eileen A. Doucette and her husband Roland of Lowell; two brothers, Thomas A. Golden Sr. and Louise Gill of Lowell and Bernard B. Golden and Maureen Desrochers of Pelham, NH; a brother-in-law, Raymond J. Poitras of Lowell; twelve grandchildren, George J. Nugent III, Michael P. Nugent, Molly Nugent, Morgan Nugent, Kevin M. Nugent Jr. and his wife Jodi, Jason R. Ingalls, Sean P. Nugent, Christopher R. Nugent, Jessica L. Nugent, Katherine R. Dougherty, Elizabeth A. Dougherty and Jack C. Dougherty; also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews. She was the grandmother of the late Andrew J. Dougherty and sister of the late Francis X. "Buddy" Golden Jr. and Margaret F. "Peggy" Poitras.
