Lowell - Ronald Proulx, Jr., died Wednesday February 8, 2012 at his Lowell residence following an extended illness. He was 41.
Ron was born in Lowell on May 15, 1970, the son of the late Ronald Proulx, Sr. and Debbie and Russell St. Amand of Lowell
who survive him.
He attended Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School.
Ron worked for the Massachusetts Bay Commuter Rail as a track repairman for the past 14 years. Prior to his employment he served in the US Marines and was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm.
Ron was an avid sports fan and helped coach in the Dracut Basketball association and the Dracut Dirt Devils baseball team.
Surviving him besides his parents are his wife Julissa (Torres) Proulx; his stepchildren Rackeem, Shaquille, and Ashley Sheperd all of Lowell; stepsisters Donna Guilotte of Pelham, NH, Julie Brown of Merrimack, NH; Godmother Shirley Sheehan of Dracut; Godsons Izaiah and Kevin; several aunts, uncles, cousins including his best friend Daniel Proulx, Jr.; and many friends from MBCR. He was the grandson of the late J. Arthur and Josephine Proulx, and Rita and Raymond Monty and Godson of the late Kenneth Sheehan, Sr.
