Ron Couillard

"Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, Tomorrow I'll miss you." - Ronald R. Couillard, beloved husband of Linda Hogan passed away at the Tufts Medical Center, on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, with his loved family by his side. He was 65.

Ron was born in Lowell on September 5, 1951, a son of the late Maurice and Lucille (Gilbert) Couillard. He loved his local roots and stayed close to Lowell and Dracut his whole life.

Ron was known in the local construction industry having owned and operated Ron Couillard Drywall for more than 30 years. His real passion was music. Ron was a bass player for the popular local band "AWAKEN". They played at the former Commodore, Three Copper Men, Willowdale, and venues throughout Salisbury Beach. He passed his love of music to his sons and would have jam sessions in their basement band room. During the last few years he had been playing again with some local bands.

Ron enjoyed tinkering with wire and metal, making statues. He liked to spend time in his garden tending to his flowers. He and Linda enjoyed visits to York Beach, the White Mountains, and Florida. Ron liked to look good. He took great care in his appearance, but above all he had a good heart and put others first.
Surviving him besides Linda are his children, Allison Woods and her husband Dustin of Dracut, Bryan Couillard of Hudson, NH, Darrin Couillard of Dracut; his grandson Ethan Woods; stepdaughter Cara Wainwright and her daughter Kaylee Poule of Alton, NH; sisters and brothers, Dianna Dupont and her fiance Al Dias of Dracut, Jean Couillard and his wife Flore of FL, Rachel Enwright of Dracut, Jeannette Silva and her husband David of Pelham, Donald Couillard of Hudson, NH; and several nieces and nephews. He was very close to his late brother Richard Couillard and his wife Donna, and late brother in law Thomas Enwright.
