Obituary
DRACUT - Roland E. Turcotte, 89, a longtime resident of Dracut, died Sunday evening, November 27, 2005 at his home. He was the husband of the late Simone M. (Beaulieu) Turcotte to whom he was married for 61 years.
Born in Canada on March 4, 1916, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ovile (Defosse) Turcotte.
Mr. Turcotte was the former owner of Loon Hill Dairy and before retiring worked for many years as a maintenance man for High Voltage Engineering of Burlington, MA.
He enjoyed his family and friends, working on his yard and home.
He was a member of St. Francis Parish in Dracut.
He leaves a son, Roland R. Turcotte of Dracut; two daughters, Pauline Gagnon of Old Orchard Beach, ME and Julie French and her husband Robert of Merrimack, NH; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Dora Renaud and Beatrice Taylor and her husband Fred, all of Dracut; two sisters-in-law, Irene Turcotte of Maryland and Corinne Turcotte of Arizona. He was the brother of the late Regeane Lamarche, Fernande Desnoyers, Leo, Emile, George and Lucien Turcotte. He was the stepson of the late Olivine Filteau who raised him from age 5.
