Obituary
LOWELL - Roland O. Maille Sr., 85, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Wednesday, October 19, 2005 in a local nursing home. He was the husband of the late Juliette B. (Beaupre) Maille.
Born in Lowell on January 21, 1920, he was a son of the late Pierre and Malvina (Coutu) Maille. He was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church.
Mr. Maille was educated in Lowell Schools and served with the United States Army during World War II.
Prior to his retirement he was employed by the University of Massachusetts, Lowell on the South Campus as a stationary engineer. He was a member of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, Subchapter 106.
Mr. Maille is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Roland M. and Lela (Coutu) Maille of Lowell, Paul A. and Betty (Marcouillier) Maille of Tyngsboro and David R. and Susan (Marcouillier) Maille of Lowell; a sister, Rita Larose of Lowell; 10 grandchildren, Mary Georgoulis and her husband David of Lowell, Julie McElroy and her husband John of No. Andover, Bonnie Mandeville and her husband Scott of Lowell, Debra Jason and her husband Frank of Dracut, Michele Dupras and her husband Ernie of Hudson, NH, Kimberly Morrison and her husband Mike of Manchester, NH, Karen Romanek and her husband Nathan of Derry, NH, LeeAnn Marsh and her husband Kenneth of Lowell, Mandy Ladebauche and her husband Eric of Lowell and Monique Silva and her husband Tim of Lowell; 29 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
He also leaves three sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Carmen Delaney of Pelham, NH, Marie Beaulieu of Lowell and Lauretta and Ronald Courchaine of Dracut. He was the brother of the late Omer Maille, Germaine Texeira, Irene Caisse, Grace Rondeau and Olivette Gagnon.
