DRACUT - Roland Dominique, Sr., 86, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 23, 2017. He was the beloved husband of the late Claire (L'Heureux) Dominique who died in 2016 and with whom he shared more than 65 years of love and laughter with.
He was born in Lowell on March 30, 1931, and was the son of the late Albert and Claire (Champagne) Dominique. He received his education in Lowell schools.
Prior to his retirement, Roland was employed for 38 years as a missile technician for Raytheon Co. in South Lowell. He also served as a union representative for many years.
Roland and his wife Claire were avid campers, and they enjoyed spending winters in Port Richey, FL. They also enjoyed square dancing together and were members of Town Travelers Square Dance Club for 25 years.
He also enjoyed bowling and playing golf.
He is survived by his children, Denise Dominique, Roland Dominique, Jr. and his significant other Sharon Maxim Eno, Diane Bisson and her husband Dennis of North Carolina; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Bernadette Dominique and Jeannette Dominique; sisters-in-law, Jeanne Brown and her husband Tom, Rita Terrell, and Lorraine Lessard; a brother-in-law, Henry L'Heureux and his wife Pearl; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Andy Dominique and his wife Theresa, and the brother-in-law of the late Carmen Dearborne, Denis L'Heureux, Roland L'Heureux.
