DRACUT – Roland J. Crevier, 87, a resident of Dracut, died Wednesday morning, October 22, 2014, at a local healthcare facility with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Myrtle (Crowe) Crevier.
Born in Lowell on September 20, 1927, he was a son of the late Omer and Blanche (Lahaie) Crevier.
Mr. Crevier attended Lowell schools and following high school served with the United States Navy during World War II, receiving the World War II Victory Medal.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Crevier had been employed by Prince Macaroni, Kelly Sheet Metal and the Lowell Sun Newspaper.
Following retirement he enjoyed time in Sanford, FL where he was a member of the local Moose Lodge and the American Legion, Post 0053.
An avid bowler, Roland belonged to several bowling leagues at the Brunswick Bowling Alleys in Lowell.
He was a communicant of St. Michael Church.
He is survived by a son, Roland J. Crevier, Jr. and his wife Debra of Dracut; two daughters, Pauline Wojnar and Jean Desmarais and her husband Jeffery, all of Lowell; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Terry Crevier of Dracut. He was the father-in-law of the late Steven Wojnar, brother of the late Donald Crevier, Robert Crevier, Omer Crevier, Jr., Doris Comtois and Theresa Fleury and former husband of the late Rita Crevier.
