HUDSON, NH - Roland H. Bourassa, 88, died at his home on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Doris L. (Massicotte) Bourassa, with whom he was married 65 years.
He was born in Lowell on January 3, 1933 and was a son of the late Alice (Houde) and Leo Bourassa. He received his education at St. Louis school in Lowell. After school he proudly went on to serve his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.
For over 30 years, Roland worked in the Army and Air Force exchange service at Fort Devens and Hanscom Air Force Base.
He enjoyed playing cribbage, reading, and doing jigsaw puzzles. Roland loved to drive and cherished spending quality time with his wife and family. He had a deep faith in prayer and God.
In addition to his wife, Doris, Roland is survived and will be deeply missed by his five children, Susan Jones and her husband Richard of Hudson, NH, Roland Bourassa and his wife Donna of Lowell, Linda West and her husband Robert of Carlisle, Donna Masse and her fiance Jack Daly of Hudson, NH and Andrew Bourassa and his husband Joshua of Milford, NH; his seven grandchildren, Corey, Kerri-Ann, Jennifer, Bethany, Victoria, Justin and Devon and his six great-grandchildren, Brayden, Fate, Chase, Owen, Thea and Watson.
Relatives and friends are invited to Roland's Life Celebration on Friday, July 2, 2021 from 10 until 12 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. His funeral service will take place following at 12:30 PM in the St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roland's memory to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
