Lowell- Roland L. Boisvert, 86, resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly Tuesday May 6, 2008 at Saints Medical Center
Born in Lowell on February 5, 1922, he was a son of the late Hervey and Louisa (Boisvert) Boisvert.
Mr. Boisvert served in the United States Army during World War II earning the prestigious honor of Purple Heart for wounds received while fighting in Germany. He was involved in battles in Sicily, Normandy, Northern France and Germany.
He was self employed as a cabinet maker by Glenview Cabinet of Lowell.
He was a former communicant of Ste. Jeanne D'Arc Church and attended Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Shrine.
He was a member of The Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors included two sisters, Cecile M. Gregoire and her husband Valmore of Lowell and Doris L. Keter of Lowell; four nieces and a nephew; JoAnn Keter of Lowell, Margaret Richards of MD, Catherine Colasurdo and her husband Michael of NY, Michelle Boisvert of Lowell and Michael Daley of CA, a great niece, Anne Willoughby and her husband Jack of MD and a great nephew, Anthony Colasurdo of NY. He was the brother of the late, Raymond Boisvert and Theresa Daley.
