Roland V. Bernier

Lowell - Roland V. Bernier, 60, died Sunday August 21, at his Lowell, MA residence.
He was born in Lowell on March 16, 1945, a son of the late Adrien E. and Irene (Messier) Bernier.
Mr. Bernier was educated in Lowell schools, and was an Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
He was employed for many years as a roofer for Rondeau and Sons Roofing, and recently was employed in the packing and shipping department for Notini & Sons in Lowell.
Roland was a communicant of the former Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Church for many years. He was an avid skier, and sportsman who loved the outdoors.
Survivors include three sisters and two brothers in law, Annette and Gerard Rondeau of Dracut, MA, Irene Frechette of Merrimack, Claire and Louis Poisson of Salisbury, MA; a special cousin and best friend, Richard Donaldson of Chelmsford, MA; several nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces and grand nephews.
