Roger Wojtkiewicz

LOWELL - Roger Wojtkiewicz, age 73, a resident of Lowell and former resident of Brookline died Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the Blair House of Tewksbury.

He was born in Holyoke on December 30, 1948, and was the son of the late Stanley and Wieslawa (Ploch) Wojtkiewicz. Roger received his education in Holyoke schools and earned a Bachelor's Degree in History from Boston University. He also studied accounting at Northeastern University.

Prior to his retirement, Roger was employed for many years at the

Roger knew and loved the Lord with all of his heart and credits Him with helping him to maintain his sobriety for the last 16 years, of which he was very proud. He was a beloved member of the Neighborhood Bible Study at Place of Promise on Wednesday evenings.

He enjoyed going sailing, photography and animals and was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins.

Roger was very well read on history and current events and loved having good conversations.

He loved his family at Place of Promise where he enjoyed helping the children with various projects and teaching them about history.

In addition to his family at Place of Promise, Roger is survived by his friend of 35 years, David Chapin of Boston and his many friends at Blair House of Tewksbury.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Roger's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Wednesday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm followed by his Funeral Service at 7:00pm at the funeral home. A Committal Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00am at the St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 96 Riverneck Rd. in Chelmsford.
