Lowell - Roger M. Regan, Jr., beloved husband of Doreen (Nielsen) Regan, a Centralville resident, died Wednesday May 12, 2010 at the Massachusetts General Hospital, following an extended illness. He was 58.
Born in Lowell on May 23, 1951, he was a son of the late Roger M., Sr. and Margaret (Kelley) Regan.
Roger was a communicant of St. Michael Church, and a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union, Local # 3
He was a bricklayer for many years, employed as a masonry supervisor for the city of Lowell for eight years, before becoming a building inspector.
Roger will most be remembered by his family for being a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving him besides his wife are two daughters and a son in law, Jennifer L. Cooper of Lowell, Kerry A. and Edward Zannoni of Dracut; five grandchildren, Alisha Cooper, Mark Cooper, Jr., Bryanna Allison, Justin Cooper, Zak Zannoni; Sisters in law and brothers in law, Carol Prescott of Lowell, Lawrence and Diane Nielsen of Lowell, Lorna and John Driscoll of Lowell, Michelle Laurencio and her companion James Parker of Brookline, NH; several nieces, nephews, dear cousins; and his beloved dog Sadie. He was also the brother of the late Margaret Ann Harte.
