Roger Leo Proulx of Dracut died on August 5, 2015 surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Lowell on January 30, 1953, he was the son of the late Raymond and Aurore (Masson) Proulx.
Roger attended Dracut schools and was employed at UMass Lowell for 40 years as a 3rd class power plant engineer retiring on April 30, 2013.
He enjoyed bowling and bowled for many years on the Friday night men's league at the Lowell Brunswick Lanes. He also enjoyed classic cars and his mustang.
Roger is survived by his son Roger L. Proulx, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; a daughter Aimee and her husband Paul Bettencourt of Dracut; four grandchildren, Brandon Proulx, Marissa and Gabriel Bettencourt and Olivia Proulx; a brother, Robert Proulx of No. Carolina; his former wife, Denise Costin of Lowell; several special nieces and nephews including Melissa Leblanc, Michelle Johnson, Eric Johnson and Jamie Johnson; and his best friend of many years, David Doubleday.
