Roger Perron

September 15, 1946 — May 11, 2018

Roger Perron, a long time Dracut resident, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018, following a sudden and brief illness. He was 71 years old.

Roger was born in Lowell, MA on September 15, 1946, a son of the late Edward and Violet (Denault) Perron. He was a proud member of the greater Lowell community especially the town he called home, Dracut.

Roger worked in welding, and at a time was also a small business owner. His interests varied making his professional career very diverse. This resulted in him enjoying many opportunities prior to a degeneration of his sight forced him to an early retirement.

For years, Roger enjoyed being a gentleman farmer having raised fowl and goats. His love of animals included being a proud owner of many family dogs, but also as a proprietor of greyhounds at the many dog tracks throughout the New England area. After his father passed, he helped attend to his mother, taking care of everything including her property and dog.

Roger was a kind person who always had time for his family, especially focusing on his mother after she became widowed. Through the years he remained in close contact to his many first cousins and enjoyed holidays at both family and friends homes. He built lifelong close bonds with friends, many which he met daily while retired.

Survivors include his brother, Edward E. Perron of Nashua, NH; three nieces and nephews, Paula Sullivan (Perron) of Wall, NJ, Edward C. Perron of Dunlap, TN, and Philip C. Perron of Amherst, NH; many great nephews and nieces; and first cousins, many who live in the Dracut area.

PERRON - At the family's request, there will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to Roger's Memorial Funeral Mass on Friday morning, May 18 at 10 AM in St. Mary Magdalen Church, 93 Lakeview Avenue, Tyngsboro. Burial will be private.
