Roger W. Faias, Sr., a life-long resident of Lowell, Mass, died on January 6, 2023 at the Lowell General Hospital at the age of 67.
Roger is survived and will be deeply missed by his two children, Roger W. Faias, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, and Dianna M. Faias with her wife Rachel of Gardner. Also his brother, Richard R. Faias with his wife Pauline of Dracut, his nieces and nephew, Cheryl, Valerie, Tiffany, Kelly and Joey; his brother-in-law, Joaquim “Jack” LaBrecque; his dog, Meathead; as well as many other relatives and friends. He will be received by his late wife Gloria F. (MacQuarrie) Faias, his mother Lilian (Jacques) Faias, and sister Gloria LaBrecque.
Roger was born in Lowell on May 24, 1955. He received his education in Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School. Prior to his retirement, Roger was employed as a forklift operator at Dana Wallboard and security guard. He was a long-time member of the Le Chanteclerc Club (Snowshoe Club) in Dracut.
Roger enjoyed watching and attending wrestling events and all the New England sports teams, especially the Red Sox. He enjoyed interacting with others and loved being a mentor to those struggling around him. He was known for always helping others when in need.
Relatives and friends are invited to Roger’s Life Celebration on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 9 until 11 AM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. His Funeral Service will be celebrated immediately following at 12:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Chapel, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roger’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116.
