Roberta L. "Robin" (Murray) McCormack, 56, of Westford, died on Tuesday January 17, 2012 after a long and courageous battle, at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Peter McCormack of Westford.
Born in Lowell on December 24, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Richard C. and Catherine M. (Allen) Murray.
For many years, Robin was employed as a sales representative by MA/COM. She was also a teacher in Billerica and Westford for several years which she enjoyed very much. She volunteered as much of her time as possible to Emerson Hospital in Concord and to numerous other causes . Robin loved to travel and enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod with her family every year. Being an Aunt was a role that she cherished and made it known that her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a brother, David A. Murray and his wife, Lisa of North Kingstown, RI; three aunts, Joan Allen and Barbara Allen both of Lowell, Dorothy Mawn of Woburn; nieces and nephews, Hallie & Conor McCormack, Greg & Jeff Hampton, Annie & Eric Casey, Shayla & Sara Murray, David Murray, Jr., Chris & Elena McCarthy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Sheila McCormack of Wellesley, Margo and Tom Casey of Lowell, Sally McCarthy of Needham; and many dear friends including, Sue White, Audrey Dunn and Mary Pearson.
She was the sister of the late Philip A Murray and sister-in-law of the late Janet (McCormack) Hampton.
