MILFORD - MSG Robert N. "Bob" West, USA (Ret.), age 70, a longtime resident of Milford, NH died unexpectedly Monday, April 29, 2019 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Jean D. (Destrempe) West, to whom he was married for 42 years.
He was born in Edmond, OK on April 28, 1949, and was a son of the late Bobby Ray and Maryanna (Perren) West. He received his education in Oregon schools and was a graduate of Amity High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in business management from Franklin Pierce College.
Prior to his retirement in 1988 with the rank of Master Sergeant, Bob served his country for 20 years in the United States Army, many of which were during the Vietnam War.
He later went on to work for 15 years as a mail carrier in the town Milford, NH for the United States Post Office.
Bob was an avid golfer and enjoyed scratch tickets, however his greatest joy came from the time he spent in the company of his loving family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, David West and his wife Deborah of Milford, NH, Christopher West of Manchester, NH, and Edmond West and his wife Christy of Epping, NH; four grandchildren, Brittany Barrientios, Pvt. Kaden West, USA, Lilyan West, and Coen West; three great grandchildren, Alicianna, Adelina, and Adriano; a brother, Herb West and his wife Ruth of Chicago, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS - It being his request, there will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob's Funeral Service at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 96 Riverneck Rd,. Chelmsford on Saturday, May 11th at 11:00 AM. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell.
