Robert J. Mousseau, age 78, a lifelong resident of Lowell died Saturday, November 12, 2022 at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell.
He was born in Lowell on April 22, 1944, and was a son of the late Joseph E. “Omer” and Doris (Larrivee) Mousseau. He attended St. Louis Grammar School and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, both in Lowell. He then went on to attend Bentley College in Waltham. In 1994 he graduated from Middlesex Community College, where he was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa.
Prior to his retirement, Robert was a self employed as a Certified Public Accountant for many years.
He was a longtime member of the Dracut American Legion, Leo C. Roth Post 315 and the Centralville Social Club, where he was once a member of its board of directors.
In his free time, Robert was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping, going to the beach, and spending time in Florida. His greatest joy however, was spending time in the company of his loving family.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Lisa M. and Jorge Louis Sanchez of Lowell; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Jo-Ann Coutu and her husband Leonard of Dracut; four brothers, Gerard Mousseau of Bradenton, FL, Edward Mousseau and his wife Lorraine of Royalton, NY, Normand Mousseau and his wife Cindy of Dunstable and Roger Mousseau and his wife Anne of Bradenton, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
It being his wish, there will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Robert’s Funeral Service at the St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 96 Riverneck Rd., Chelmsford on Monday, December 5th at 11:00am. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
