Robert J. Miller

DRACUT – Robert J. Miller, 77, a resident of Dracut, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, October 5, 2014. He was the husband of the late Gertrude F. "Trudy" (Barry) Miller.
Born in Lowell on August 15, 1937, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rita (Noonan) Miller.
Bob served with the United States Army from 1959 until his honorable discharge in 1963.
Prior to retirement, he was employed by the City of Lowell School System as a custodian. He was previously employed by Sanders Assoc. in Nashua, NH.
Bob was a lifetime member of both the East End Club and the Lowell Lodge of Elks. He was also an associate member of the Dom Polski Club.
Bob enjoyed watching sports, especially the Boston sports teams.
He leaves two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brian R. and Vallery (Schofield) Miller of Dracut and Mark S. Miller of Salem, NH; two grandchildren, Matthew B. and Kelsie R. Miller of Dracut; a sister-in-law, Priscilla Barry of Lowell; a nephew, Richard A. Barry III and his wife Danielle of Pepperell; grandnieces and a grandnephew, Paige K., Trevor J. and Riley A. Barry, all of Pepperell.
He was also the husband of the late Stacia (Klatka) Miller, who passed in 1963, and brother-in-law of the late Richard A. Barry, Jr., Kyle (McKenna) Barry and Rosemary Carr.
