Robert Leo Veillette, 83 passed away on May 6, 2026 following a period of declining health.
Born in Lowell, MA on January 6, 1943, he was the son of the late Leo Veillette and Florence (Joyce) Veillette.
Prior to his retirement he worked for many years as a highly skilled spray painter for Nyes Japenamelac and later worked part- time for Hannaford Supermarket.
Bob cherished the time he spent with his late wife Linda taking rides to the beach, strolling through flea markets, gardening, riding his scooter for miles and his Tuesday night dinners with his niece Wendy and her companion Joe but his favorite was to be at a family barbecue making memories.
He leaves behind his daughter Lisa Davey and her companion Richard Nicolosi of Salem, NH; also several grandchildren, Joel Davey and his companion Tracy Barbin of Hampstead; Joshua and Samantha Davey of Sandown; Luke Davey and his companion Melissa Gomes of Dracut; Derick, Nathan, Ashley, and Amanda Veillette of Florida; and his great grandchildren, Emmalise Davey, Jakson Davey, and Kallie Barbin as well as several nieces, nephews, friends and family.
He was also the father of the late Robert (Bobby) Veillette and the brother of the late Florence Garabedian, Almy Banfield, Louise Veillettte, Dorothy Agrella and Doris Blanchette.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bob’s Visitation at the McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell, from 9 AM until 10:15 AM on Tuesday morning, May 12th. His funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately following at 11AM at St. Michael Church, 12 6th Street, Lowell. Burial to follow St Josephs Cemetery 96 Riverneck Road Chelmsford, MA.
