Robert Gene Layman

Robert Gene Layman, Sr., 65, of Lowell died unexpectedly Wednesday October 14, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Chelsea on October 28, 1943 he was the son of the late Robert F. and Florence (Cullen) Layman.

A career long finish carpenter, Bob was always lending his construction expertise to those in need.He could often be found helping his children with their many household projects. He loved to follow the Patriots and was an excellent cook. He enjoyed watching western movies as often as he could. Bob was many wonderful things, but above all else he was an amazing father and grandfather. He was immensely loved by his family and will be missed every day.

Survivors include two sons; Robert Gene Layman, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Andover and their children, Matthew, Abigail, Patrick and Andrew, Christopher Layman and his wife, Tracy of Hudson, NH and their children, Griffin, Peyton and Cara; four daughters, Crystal Hitchcock and her husband, Duane of FL and their son, Ian, Cynthia Gay and her husband Charles of Lowell and their children, Ashley and Kyle, Shannon Lussier and her husband, Jeffrey of NC and their children, Britney and Kayla, Melissa Kiluk and her husband, Eddie of Hudson, NH and their children, Eddie, Jr. and Mackenzie; His former wife and mother of his children, Juanita E. (Lingley) Emond of Nashua, NH. He was the brother of the late Martha Layman.
