LOWELL - Robert R LaMarche, 68, a longtime resident of Lowell died Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Irene C. (Crevier) LaMarche who died in 2018.
He was born in Lowell on July 2, 1953, and was one of fifteen children of the late Silvio J. and Anna J. (Sawtelle) LaMarche.
Robert served his country in the United States Army.
Prior to his retirement, Robert was employed as a cook at the Princeton House in Lowell. Prior to that he was employed by Max Levine and Company in Lowell. Earlier in life, he worked as a shoeshine boy and in parking enforcement with the Lowell Police Department.
In his free time he enjoyed his coffee and plain donuts, fishing, watching classic television, and wearing his baseball caps, but above all, his greatest joy was spending time in the company of his loving family, especially his adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his six children, Faith LaMarche of Hudson, NH, DinaMarie A. LaMarche and her fiancé Vladimir Vicioso of Methuen, Richard LaMarche and his wife Paula of Manchester, NH, Michael Crevier of Lowell, Jason LaMarche and his wife Carrie of Lowell, and Ashley Cruz and her fiancé Fernando Reyes of Nashua, NH; nineteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Francis LaMarche, Leona Buchikos, Silvio Phillips, and Paul LaMarche.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Robert's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Tuesday from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm followed by his Funeral Service at 12:30 pm at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 96 Riverneck Road in Chelmsford.
