OBITUARY
Tyngsboro - Robert L. Joyal, 69, a resident of Tyngsboro, died Monday, October 17, 2005 at Saints Memorial Medical Center. He was the husband of Cecile C. (Soucy) Joyal, with whom he celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on June 29, 2005.
Born in Lowell on March 6, 1936, he was a son of the late Harvey A. and Dafter R. (Vielicka) Joyal.
Mr. Joyal served with the United States Navy as a Naval Diver during the late 1950's and was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Boston.
He was the owner of the former Leo Joyal Furniture Company and the Woodland Furniture Company which were located in Lowell. He then worked for G.C.A. Corporation of Andover and C.M.C. Torque Systems of Billerica from which he retired.
Mr. Joyal was an avid hunter and was a member of the N.R.A. He also enjoyed weightlifting, golfing, swimming and diving.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Mark Joyal of Derry, NH, Kevin and Elaine (Penno) Joyal of Brookfield, VT and Steven and Paula (Ward) Joyal of Tyngsboro; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Darlene and David Dumais of Tyngsboro, Laurie Upright of Ogden, Kansas and Tammy and Anthony Doody of Nashua, NH; 15 grandchildren; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
