DRACUT - Robert E. Draper, Sr., 69, a Dracut resident, died Friday, April 11, 2008 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Katherine F. (Burley) Draper, with whom he was married for 47 years.
Born in Cambridge on September 16, 1938, he was a son of the late Stanley Draper, Sr. and the late Florence (Stewart)(Draper)(Fraser) Brunelle.
Mr. Draper served with the United States Army from 1955 until he was Honorably Discharged in 1957.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by W.T. Kenney of Arlington where he was a Painting Forman Contractor. Following retirement he worked with his son at Draper Construction of Tewksbury.
He was a member of the Pelham Knights of Columbus, Council 6902 since 1980, where he was the former Deputy Grand Knight. He also belonged to the Masons.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four daughters, Roberta Doukszewicz and her husband Edward of Dracut, Tracy Nolan and her companion Devin Cordeiro of Dracut, Michelle Fraser and her husband David of Hudson, NH and Kathy Wool and her husband Frank of Hampstead, NH; three sons, Robert E. Draper, Jr. and his wife Juliann of Pelham, NH, Bruce Draper and his wife Eileen of Tewksbury and Ralph Doucette of Chelsea; two brothers, Stanley Draper, Jr. and his wife Marie of Pelham, NH and Harold "Scott" Fraser and his wife Ana of Dracut; a sister, Florence Draper of Dracut; 20 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Joseph Doucette and brother of the late Paul "Rusty" Draper, Marion Fraser and Bruce Fraser.
