Robert M. Desruisseaux

LOWELL - Robert M. Desruisseaux, age 78, a longtime resident of Lowell died Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Northwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Lowell.

He was born in Lowell on July 28, 1943, and was a son of the late Irene O. (Rochette) Dube and the late Albert A. Desruisseaux. He received his education in Lowell schools.

Prior to his retirement, Robert was employed for 30 years as a maintenance foreman at University of Massachusetts at Lowell.

He was a longtime active member of the East End Club in Lowell.

Robert is survived by his three sons, Robert M. Desruisseaux, Jr. and his wife Karen of Lowell, Brian A. Desruisseaux of Dracut and Jay S. Desruisseaux and his wife Hope of Dracut; eight grandchildren, Cassie, Jessica, Jacob, Kate, Matthew, Logan, Olivia, and Samuel Desruisseaux; two brothers, Frank Desruisseaux and his wife Kathleen and Jean Desruisseaux, all of Lowell; two sisters, Pauline Lemay and her husband Wilfred and Lucille Robataille, all of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Paul Desruisseaux and Suzanne Williams.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Robert's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00am at St. Michael Church in Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to the charity of one's choice.
