NEWBURYPORT - Robert O. Dahlberg, 74, a resident of Newburyport, died Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Bedford V. A. Hospital following many years of enduring Alzheimer's Disease. He was the loving husband of Linda J. (Robinson) Dahlberg to whom he was married for 50 years.
Born in Medford on October 26, 1942, he was a son of the late Sven and Marta (Bjorkholtz) Dahlberg.
Bob was a sergeant with the United States Army, deployed to Vietnam and injured during the war. He was a life long employee of Kamco Supply of Woburn. In addition, he and his wife owned and operated the Victorian Harvest Inn in North Conway, NH for 12 years and following that, the 1810 House in Rockport, MA.
Among his favorite past times were building the family home in Groton, fishing, hunting, cross country skiing, all of nature's wonders and traveling to Europe and the British Isles.
He adored his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by three children; Beth Dahlberg-Falkner and her husband James of York, ME, Nancy (Dahlberg) Faust and her husband Bruce of Winter Springs, FL, and Christopher Dahlberg and his wife Kimberly of Dunstable; seven adoring grandchildren, Meagan, Abigail, Kaitlyn, Allyson, Sydney, Madison and Christopher, Jr.; a sister, Ann Dahlberg of Beverly; also many caring nieces and nephews. He was a brother of the late Kenneth, Sten and Ollie Dahlberg.
