Tyngsboro - Robert G. Clohesy, 66, a resident of Tyngsboro, died Tuesday November 13, 2006, at the Saints Medical Center.
He was the husband of Carol A. (Paquette) Clohesy, with whom he would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on December 14th.
Born in Lowell on November 16, 1939, a son of the late Leo M. Hamelin and Elsie (Jackson) Hamelin of Lowell who survives him.
Mr. Clohesy attended Lowell Trade School, and was the owner and operator of Clohesy Construction for over 42 years. His hobbies included boating and fishing on the Merrimack River, listening to Irish music, and watching the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed snow plowing and was featured in the Sun in a late 1970's article discussing his love of what he called "white gold".
Surviving him besides his wife and mother are a daughter, Sharon Clohesy of Tyngsboro; two sons and daughters in law, Robert and Shannon Clohesy of Tyngsboro, Donald and Annemarie Clohesy of Dunstable; five grandchildren, Bobby Jr., Ashley, Danny, Donny Jr. and Patrick; a sister Carol A. Carey of Rochester, NH; a sister in law and brother in law, Dorothy and Paul Desmarais of Lowell; two nieces Debbie Perrone of Montana, Michelle Desmarais of Lowell; two nephews, David Dione of Milford, NH, and John Desmarais of Vermont. He was also the brother of the late George Clohesy.
