Robert L. Bernier

York, Maine- Robert L Bernier, Sr, 77, husband of Claire (Grenon) Bernier, died unexpectedly on Friday, Sept 9, 2005. Born in Lowell on July 29, 1928 he was a son of the late Lucien Bernier and Yvonne (Burns) Bernier of Lowell.
Mr Bernier served in the US Navy during World War II. Before his retirement he was a parking director at the State House parking garage.
A resident of Umatilla, Fl for the last 12 years, he spent the summers in York, Maine. Prior to moving to Florida, he lived in Windham, NH and was a Tewksbury resident for over 30 years. He was a lifetime member of the Tewksbury Lodge of Elks.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by two sons, Robert L Bernier, Jr of Northport, FL and Rickey Bernier of Salem,NH; three daughters, Angela Bernier of Lowell, Sandra Patterson of Lynnfield, MA and Yvonne Mahegan of Lowell; two brothers, Raymond Bernier of Lowell and Richard Bernier of Londonderry, NH; a sister, Ruth Montbleau of Lowell; three grandchildren, Robert L Bernier III, Rickey Bernier, Jr and Amanda Patterson; one great grandchild, Emma Bernier; several nieces and nephews.
