Reading - Robert B. Warren, 83, a resident of Reading, Massachusetts, died on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, following a period of declining health. Born on May 27, 1941, and raised in Arlington, he was a son of the late F. Robert and Ruth (Anderson) Warren.
Bob was a graduate of Northeastern University, receiving a degree in Chemical Engineering. He began his work in that field with Artisan Industries of Waltham and had a successful career with several other companies, including EIC, Kendall, and Veratec, until his retirement. He was a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
One of Bob’s favorite hobbies was gardening, his specialty was growing spectacular daylilies.
He is survived by three sons and their spouses: Robert B. Warren, Jr. and his wife Roni of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania, Raymond C. Warren and his wife Laura of North Chelmsford, and Ronald D. Warren and his wife Kerry-Ann of Brookfield. Bob was the grandfather (Grampie) of six grandchildren: Ezekiel, Nathaniel, Cole, Sydney, Eva, and Emma.
He is also survived by his ex-wife, Laura (Richards) Warren of Peabody, as well as two sisters, Betty DeCaprio of Arlington and Barbara Sullivan of Warwick, Rhode Island.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bob’s Memorial Visitation on Thursday, August 1, from 4 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell.
