Robert D. Arledge

Robert D. Arledge, 74, died on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Donna M. (Young) Arledge, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage.

He was born in McMinnville, Tennessee on August 7, 1949 and was a son of the late Dollye (Redmon) Elam and Gordon Elam. Upon graduating from Manchester Central High School, Class of 1967, Robert went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army. He later worked in security system sales for many years.

Robert was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed watching the Patriots, Red Sox and car racing.

In addition to his wife Donna, Robert is survived and will be deeply missed by his daughter, Melissa Lourenco of Littleton; his two grandchildren, Nolan and Mia; his sister, Patricia Cobb and her husband Larry of TN; his two brothers, Thomas Arledge and his wife Janet of NJ and Danny Arledge and his wife Rhonda of LA; his two brothers-in-law, Mark Young and his wife Paulette of Lowell and Russell Young of FL; his dear and close friend, Maryann Daniel; as well as many other family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Dollye and Gordon Elam, his father, Thomas Arledge and his very loving and adored aunt, Nell Barnett, whose bond was very special growing up.

Relatives and friends are invited to Robert’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 4 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s name to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway Street, Lowell, MA 01854.
