Rita S. Young

Lowell- Rita S. (Cimon) Young, 82, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died Sunday May 11, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Peter J. Young who died on September 4, 2007. They were married for 60 years at the time of his death.
Rita was born in Lowell on December 23, 1925, a daughter of the late Alfred and Merisa (Boisvert) Cimon.
She attended St. Joseph Elementary and St. Joseph High School. Rita worked as a stitcher for the former Pleasant Dress Company in Lowell.
She was a communicant of St. Rita Church and volunteered at the Chelmsford Senior Center.
Survivors include two sons, Russell Young of Homosassa, FL and her former daughter in law Maryann Young of Nashua, NH and Mark Young and his wife Paulette Young of Lowell; a daughter, Donna (Young) Arledge and her husband Robert Arledge of Lowell; a brother, Roger Cimon, of Hartland, ME; a sister, Pauline Laurent and her husband Arthur of Lowell; four grandchildren Jennifer Cote and her husband Bryan of Milford, NH, April Young-Jodoin and her husband Robert of Nashua, NH Anthony "TJ" Kurpis and his fianc�e Carol Daunais of Boston and Taylor Young of Lowell; three great grandchildren, Connor Cote, Chloe Jodoin and Parker Cote. She was also the sister of the late Yvette Frechette.
