LOWELL - Rita A. (Clermont) Vallerand, 86, died Saturday morning, April 3, 2004 at the Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Roland L. "Pop" Vallerand who died on October 3, 2003 and with whom she was married for 58 years.
She was born in Lowell on October 21, 1917 a daughter of the late Noe and Mariana (Piche) Clermont.
She was resident of the Centralville section of Lowell and a communicant of St. Louis de France Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Elaine (Vallerand) Schulte of Nashua, NH; two grandchildren, Karen (Schulte) Roberts of Nashua, NH and Kevin Schulte of Manchester, NH; four great grandchildren, Patrick, Kaitlin and Sean Roberts, all of Nashua, NH and Emma Schulte of Manchester, NH; a brother-in-law, Ralph Vallerand and his wife Therese of Lowell; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Hector "Cook" Clermont, Noe "Gus" Clermont and Jeannette McLeod.
