DRACUT - Rita M. (Trudeau) Parent, 91, a longtime resident of Dracut died Friday, June 30, 2017 at Fairhaven Healthcare Center in Lowell. She was the wife of the late Paul F. Parent, who died in 1982.
She was born in Lowell on November 8, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Antonio F. and Georgianna (Bibeault) Trudeau. She received her education in Lowell schools.
Prior to her retirement, Rita was employed for many years as a stitcher by the former Lowell Lingerie. Later in life, Rita devoted her time and love as a foster grandparent to five year olds.
She was a former communicant of the former St. Theresa's Parish in Dracut.
Rita was an avid reader, she enjoyed gardening, and she loved animals.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. and Arline Parent of Manchester, NH; her daughter, Anne M. Balevre of Hudson, NH; her three grandchildren, Lisa Dowling and her husband Michael of Nashua, NH Jennifer Pagach of Livermore, CA, and Steven Balevre of Hudson, NH; and two great granddaughters, Emily Dowling and Mina Kukahiko.
Rita was also the mother-in-law of the late Clyde Balevre, the sister of the late Roland Trudeau, and the longtime companion of the late Henry Daigle.
