Tyngsboro – Rita E. Paquin… age 91, “Baby Doll”
TYNGSBORO – Rita E. (Asselin) Paquin, 91, a resident of Tyngsboro, died Tuesday morning, June 28, 2011 at a local health care facility. She was the widow of Raymond Paquin.
Born in Lowell on September 28, 1919, she was a daughter of the late William P. and Laura (Koenig) Asselin.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Paquin was employed by the Lowell General Hospital as a dietary aide. Many years back she enjoyed working for Dairy Queen which was located on the corner of Bridge and West Sixth Streets.
She was a former communicant of St. Mary Magdalen Parish, but most recently was a member of St. Francis Parish.
Rita enjoyed working in her yard, taking trips to the beach and going out to eat. Most important to her was spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
Rita’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at the Willow Manor Nursing Home and the Lowell VNA, Hospice for the compassionate care Rita received during her stay there.
Rita is survived by two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law, Barbara (Asselin) Marvel of Dracut, Norman Paquin of Dracut, Mariette Jean and her husband Wilfred of Lowell and Douglas McCready of FL; also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews.
Rita was predeceased by her two brothers and her two sisters, Chester and Milton Asselin and Laura Lee Waring and Dorothy McCready.
