Rita E. Mooney

Rita E. (LeBourdais) Mooney, 90, a Dracut resident, died Wednesday May 12, 2010 at a local nursing home. She was the wife of the late Vincent R. Mooney who died in 1991.
Born in Lowell on May 29, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Louis A. and Emma (Jubinville) LeBourdais.
Mrs. Mooney had worked at the former Walbrook Lounge in Dracut.
She was a member of the Dracut Senior Citizens Club, the Marian Fathers Association and the Legion of Mary at St. Michael Church.
Mrs. Mooney loved to be with her family and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by a brother and his wife, Louis and Hazel LeBourdais of Newark, DE; nieces and nephews, Ralph DiRocco, Norman DiRocco and his wife Carol, Leo DiRocco and his wife Bonnie, Shirley Strecker and her son, Jesse, Sandra Shown and family; also several grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins. She leaves special friends, Lorraine Bergeron, Denise Forestiere and Kathy Tardiff. She also leaves many friends at Lake Mascuppic. She was a sister of the late Florence Harnois.
