She was born in Miami, Florida on November 23, 1940, and was a daughter of the late Margaret (Sands) and Francis McLaughlin. Growing up she attended the Perkins School for the Blind and The Carroll School.
Rita enjoyed knitting and loved music. Her greatest joy however was spending time with her family.
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her two sisters, Mary Jo Corcoran and her husband Raymond of Dracut and Monica Sue (Lysz) Fontaine of Lebanon, ME; her 15 nieces and nephews; her 36 great nieces and nephews; her 32 great great nieces and nephews and her great great great niece; as well as many cousins and friends.
Rita was the sister of the late Cecelia Ann (McLaughlin) (Marr) Daudelin, Kenneth F. McLaughlin and Michael J. McLaughlin.
Relatives and friends are invited to Rita’s Graveside Service on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Wildwood Cemetery, 233 Middlesex Avenue, Wilmington, MA 01887. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rita’s memory to the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 200 Ivy Street, Brookline, MA 02446.
