Rita M. Chartier was called home on February 8, 2026 at the age of 92 at Palm Springs Nursing Home in Chelmsford.

Rita was born on April 12, 1933 in Lowell and was the daughter of the late Henry and Lillian (Briere) Chartier. She was a communicant of Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Parish (St. Therese’s) in Dracut and the former St. Louise de France Church in Lowell.

She is survived by her sister Elaine Blanco and her husband, Joseph; her two nephews, Steven Chartier and his wife, Colleen of Tewksbury and Richard Chartier of Dracut; plus several grand nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her bother, Edward Chartier and her niece, Janice Bradley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rita’s Life Celebration on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 4 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM in Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Church, Dracut. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
