Rita M. Lalonde, a Dracut resident passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 following a period of declining health. She was 89.
Born in Lowell on November 2, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Lena (Guilbeault) Lalonde.
Rita retired from BAE systems where she worked for many years constructing circuit boards.
She was a giving person who would help anyone in need. She was considered a taxi for many. Rita enjoyed visiting with people and then driving them to the grocery store, doctor appointments and errands. She was an all around good person.
An avid sports fans, Rita loved the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. Rita considered her nieces and nephews her children and took them all to their first baseball game. She enjoyed taking them to several football and baseball games. She loved her family, especially all of the banter with her sister and best friend the late Laurette Daigle.
Rita is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Leona Bourgea, Albert Lalonde, Alfred "Pete" Lalonde, Raymond Lalonde, and Laurette Daigle
Relatives and friends are invited to Rita's Life Celebration at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, from 4 until 7 PM on Friday, Her Funeral Mass Will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM In Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Church, 1340 Lakeview Ave Dracut. Burial will be private.
