Lowell - Rita M. "Snook"(Savard) (Lefebvre) Hood, 57, wife of the late George L. Hood, died Friday March 16, at her Centralville residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lowell on November 29, 1949, a daughter of the late Maurice C. Savard and the late Rita M. (Cadorette) Savard Thuot
Mrs. Hood was a communicant of St. Michael Church and prior to her illness was a volunteer for many years at St. Michael School. She was also a member of the VFW Walker-Rogers Post 662 Ladies Auxiliary, and enjoyed arts and crafts.
Survivors include two sons and their companions, George M. Hood and April Peltier, Daniel L. Hood and Siobhan Fierley, all of Lowell; a daughter and son in law, Lee Ann T. (Lefebvre) and Michael Gauthier of Deland, FL; a brother and sister in law, Maurice A. and Diane Savard of Auburndale, FL; two sisters and brothers in law, Jane M. and Edward Tibbetts of Stoneham, Rosemary G.Thompson who was also her best friend and her husband William Thompson of Lowell ; a stepbrother and his companion, David W. Savard and Cheryl Munichiello of Dracut; a sister in law Dianne Savard of Lowell; eleven grandchildren, Savannah M. Gauthier, Michael J. Gauthier, Richard J. Gauthier, Francis R.J. Gauthier, James L. Gauthier, Destiny H. Gauthier, David Peltier, Joseph Peltier, George Hood, Jr. Daniel L. Hood, Jr., Meah S. Hood; her former husband Ronald F. Lefebvre of Sanford, FL; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also the mother of the late Ronald F.R. Lefebvre, and sister of the late Dennis R.J. Savard.
