Lowell – Rita G. Forest a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell died Wednesday January 5, 2011 at a local healthcare facility. She was 90.
Rita was born in Lowell on December 20, 1920, a daughter of the late Ernest L. and Eva L. (Carpentier) Forest.
She was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church and currently Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Parish.
Rita enjoyed bowling for many years, and playing bingo. She liked visiting the ocean and swimming. Rita cherished time spent with her family and took pleasure in babysitting her nieces and nephews.
Rita was a devoted Red Sox fan who prided herself on knowing all of the player statistics, and never missed watching a game.
Survivors include three sisters and a brother in law, Estelle R. Gendreau of Lowell, Sr. Therese Forest, SCO of Lowell, Doris E. and Normand P. Belley of Tewksbury; a sister in law Theresa G. Forest of Dracut; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was the sister of the late Ernest L. Forest, Gabrielle L. Marquis, Andre R. Forest, and Pauline M. Tousignant.
