Richard William "Dick" Theriault, 71, of Dracut MA, passed away peacefully on January 26th, 2022, at Lowell General Hospital.
He was born June 10, 1950, to Raymond Theriault and Genevieve (Hudon) Theriault in Lowell, MA.
He is survived by his daughter Melissa Theriault and her fiancé Mike Lepine of Dracut MA and son Jason Theriault and his wife Alesia of Pelham, NH; his brother Robert Theriault and his wife Karen of Ashland City, TN, and his sister Diane (Theriault) Kawa and her husband Tom of Dracut, MA. He was the proud grandfather of Jordan Murdock of Pelham, NH. He also leaves behind brothers and sisters-in-law Dianne and Albert Plante of Derry NH, Dennis and Linda Cailler of Tewksbury MA and Mark Cailler of Lowell MA. He had many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marie (Cailler) Theriault, his sister Susanne Theriault and nephew Jason Kawa.
Richard was a lifelong resident of Dracut MA. He retired from Raytheon after more than 25 years. He worked as a florist at Flowers by Albert and House of Flowers prior to working at Raytheon. Richard had a love of interior design and floral arranging and was very happy when his creative juices were flowing. He also loved traveling and was most proud of his solo trip to Ireland a few years ago. He found joy in spending time with his loved ones, enjoying family gatherings and delicious dinners.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Richard's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Monday from 4:00 until 7:00pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 12:00pm at Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Church in Dracut. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford. Face masks will be required at all services.
