Richard F. "Dick" Roth

April 20, 1925 — August 29, 2017

DRACUT - Richard F. "Dick" Roth, 92, a lifelong resident of Dracut died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor C. (McGlinchey) Roth, with whom he would have celebrated 70 years of marriage in November.

He was born in Dracut on April 20, 1925, and was a son of the late Gus and Helen (Fox) Roth.

Dick proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Pacific during World War II.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 44 years as a street crew supervisor by Lowell/Colonial Gas.

In his early years, Dick and his brother Donald had a business hosting clam bakes.

He was a Mason and was a member of the Pentucket Lodge A.F. & A.M. for 59 years.

Dick was known as a jack of all trades and enjoyed spending his time maintaining his home in Dracut, as well as his home on Little Island Pond in Pelham, NH, where he spent 80 summers of his life.

His family would like to thank the staff of Lowell General Hospital for the care and compassion that they showed to Dick and his family throughout his stay there.

In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Ricki Roth of Nashua, NH; his three grandchildren, Anthony Rosa of Litchfield, NH, Sandra Hymowitz and her husband Jodie of Vacaville, CA, and Daniel Rosa of Windham, NH; his two great grandchildren, Ava and Aidan Hymowitz; his brother-in-law, Bernard McGlinchey of Freedom, NH; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Donald Roth.
