LOWELL - Richard J. Paradise, age 65, a lifelong resident of Lowell died peacefully Sunday, April 24, 2022 at his home following a long illness surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Doris A. (Desrochers) Paradise, to whom he has been married for 41 years.
He was born in Lowell on January 8, 1957, and was a son of the late George and Rita (Plourde) Paradise. He received his education in Lowell schools.
Prior to his retirement, Richard was employed for many years as a truck driver for T & T Anodizing, Inc. in Lowell. Earlier in his career he worked for many years as a docutech operator.
In his free time he enjoyed going for walks, gardening, shopping, tinkering around the house and vacationing, however, his greatest joy came from spending time in the company of his loving family, especially his adoring granddaughters.
Richard will be remembered for being a jack of all trades and his ability to fix almost anything.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children, Angie L. Paradise and her husband Ryan Eldridge and Shawn J. Paradise, all of Lowell; two grandchildren, Ariana Emily Eldridge and Riley Ava Eldridge; five brothers, his twin Roland Paradise and his wife Linda of Lowell, Norman Paradise and his wife Jane of Lowell, Donald Paradise and his wife Ginger of NH, Joseph Daigle of Illinois, and Paul Daigle and his wife Terry Rogers of VT; four sisters, Yvette Paradise-Dee of CT, Alice Fletcher and her husband Jerry of NH, Lorraine Johnson of R.I. and Pauline Timpson of N.H.; two sisters-in-law, Janet Desrochers and Laurie McCabe, both of Dracut; a brother-in-law, Mark Desrochers of Westford; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Richard's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME,327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Thursday from 4:00 until 6:00pm followed by his Funeral Service at 6:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
