PELHAM, NH - Richard J. "Bucko" Kowalchuk, 59, a resident of Pelham, NH, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 3, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Judy L. (Von Kahle ) Kowalchuk with whom he shared 26 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on November 19, 1961, he was a son of the late Peter and Esther (McGee) Kowalchuk.
Ricky was a graduate of Greater Lowell Regional Technical High School Class of 1979 and obtained his builders's license. He was employed by Health South of Lowell prior to illness forcing his retirement.
Bucko enjoyed watching all football including college and professional. An avid golfer, he played many rounds at Pine Valley Golf Club in Pelham.
He had many fond memories with relatives and friends enjoying times at the Dom
Polski Club in Lowell. He loved his Bernese Mountain Dog Sophie but most important was spending time with his wife, children and family.
In addition to his wife Judy, he leaves two children; his daughter, Kayla Kowalchuk of Pelham and her boyfriend Tim Oliveira of Billerica, his son, Kevin Kowalchuk of Pelham; three siblings and their spouses, Brenda Montminy and her husband Dr. George Montminy of Dracut, Ruth Kowalchuk of Chelmsford, and Robert Kowalchuk and his wife Joni of Raymond, NH; a sister in law, Sue Kowalchuk of Lowell; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was a brother of the late Thomas Kowalchuk.
Relatives and friends are invited to Rick's Visitation on Friday from 3 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Adhering to health requirements, face coverings are required in the funeral home. Due to Covid-19, Funeral Services will be private.
